Our volunteers, our biggest strenght
Food and money donations are not the only way a person can be involved at the Aylmer Food Centre. People can choose to give time to help us sort food, put together bags of canned goods, help with the daily chores, help out at our many family activities and also with fundraising events.

Volunteers' support is vital on a day to day basis - we couldn’t offer our services without them. In addition, as much as we need them to reach our goals, the unique experience that each and everyone gets by donating their time at the Aylmer Food Centre is the fulfillment they get by making a real difference in our community.

In 2017-2018, more than 200 persons put in over 16 000 hours of volunteering to provide services to our community.

Amongst these volunteers were students from Grande-Rivière and Darcy McGee secondary schools, le Cegep de l'Outaouais, l'Université de Québec en Outaouais,
l'Université d'Ottawa; de La Cité
as well as many members of the community.
